I am a counsellor based in central Cambridge working within the private and public sector.
My specialist areas are mental health, depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, low self-esteem, coping with past abuse, smoking cessation, as well as more general counselling allowing you to explore specific areas of yourself and your life. I am extremely passionate about my work and as a professional and highly qualified counsellor, I run my practice in a way that is reflective of this. As a client you can be confident of my ability to guide and support you in a professional, caring and down-to-earth way.
My Approach
The theoretical background of my counselling work is integrative and it encompasses psychodynamic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), personal centred counselling and MI (Motivational Interviewing).
All of these approaches allow you to gain awareness about yourself. This awareness gives you the ability to develop, change or assess yourself and specific areas of your life. I will offer you professional guidance, support and clarity throughout this process.
I work creatively and all sessions are tailored towards YOU and your specific needs. There is no 'one size fits all' philosophy to my counselling. I believe counselling should be accessible, approachable and people-friendly, as well as being professional and ethical.

Therapy is about growing confidence, giving you the ability to make the changes you want.
It's a lifelong learning experience, which can take you as far as you want.
